AquaTru Carafe filter packs: match the part and the pack contents

Once you own an AquaTru Carafe, ordering filters is a maintenance choice, not a second-pitcher decision. The maker's current U.S. store separates Carafe, Classic, Under Sink, shower and Freestanding filter groups. The loose cartridges and replacement packs are not interchangeable merely because the listings all say AquaTru or reverse osmosis.

Start with the cartridge position and exact part code

AquaTru's Carafe replacement instructions group the routine for Carafe and Carafe Smart and name three replaceable positions: Filter 1–2 is the Pre/Carbon cartridge, Filter 3 is the reverse-osmosis cartridge, and Filter 4 is either VOC Carbon or VOC Carbon with pH + Mineral Boost. The current Carafe-specific product pages list these separate part SKUs: 10AT100SF01 for Pre/Carbon, 10AT100RF01 for reverse osmosis, 10AT100VF01 for VOC Carbon, and 10AT100VFA01 for the Mineral Boost alternative. Check your machine's own label and the current official product page before ordering; the filter SKU is not the same as the purifier's retail model code.

Choose a pack for what it actually contains

The Carafe-only one-year standard pack (10AT100CMPK1) contains two Pre/Carbon filters and one VOC Carbon finishing filter. Its Mineral Boost counterpart (10AT100ALPK1) substitutes the mineral-boost finishing cartridge. Neither description lists a replacement RO cartridge. The separate Carafe one-year packs with an RO filter are 30AT01B084 (VOC) and 30AT01B085 (pH+/Mineral Boost). For two years, the standard combo (10AT100CMPK2) lists four Pre/Carbon, two VOC Carbon and one RO filter; the alkaline pack (10AT100ALPK2) lists the same counts with two Mineral Boost VOC filters. Those contents matter more than the words “one-year” or “two-year”: do not assume an annual pack automatically includes an RO cartridge.

The manufacturer's individual Carafe cartridge pages list nominal lives of six months or 300 gallons for Pre/Carbon, two years or 600 gallons for RO, and one year or 300 gallons for either finishing filter. They are maker-stated replacement limits, not a result from an independent test by this site. Use the purifier's filter indicators and the instructions for your exact unit; real household use may reach a gallon limit before a calendar estimate.

Carafe wording is not a model-code crosswalk

The individual cartridge listings describe their use as “Carafe Purifier only,” while the change-instructions page groups Carafe and Carafe Smart together. That shared procedure is useful for understanding the filter positions, but it is not a published one-to-one table connecting every Carafe or Smart retail model code to a cartridge package. If your label says Smart, use the official selector or ask AquaTru to confirm the exact filter SKU for that unit rather than treating a general how-to page as a compatibility guarantee. Classic packs are separately listed for Classic, Connect and Under Sink systems; the pages do not list them as Carafe replacements.

Replace carefully and flush the system

AquaTru's Carafe guide says to unplug the unit, wait 60 seconds before removing a filter, release the filter lock, use the removal tool, align and lock the replacement, then hold the reset control for at least five seconds. The same instructions say to discard the first two full tanks produced after a filter change. Follow the instructions for the exact model in front of you, rather than forcing a cartridge that does not seat or reset as described. If a part code or fit is uncertain, stop and verify it with the maker before running the purifier.

A replacement cartridge is a service item, not evidence that the pitcher itself meets a particular water need. Compare the whole Carafe configuration and its documented limits in the AquaTru Carafe format guide and the four exact-model reviews: 90AT100AT01, 90AT100ATA01, 90AT100SC01, and 90AT100SCA01.
