PUR CR1110X1 Pitcher System (model reference) review

A PUR pitcher-system model code named in a 2023 U.S. quick-start guide and performance sheet. Its included CRF-950Z, 40-gallon/two-month filter limit and cold-tap operating bounds are documented; exact cup capacity, dimensions and present offer status are not.

Sources checked 2026-10-25 · Our editorial approach

Owner/model-identification reference. The documented guide names CR1110X1 and the supplied CRF-950Z, but it does not give this body’s cup capacity or dimensions. The family diagram is not an exact-body image. Current offer status is not established; this page does not claim that the model is discontinued and does not place it in buying recommendations.

A useful fit for

Useful for an owner who can read CR1110X1 on the pitcher or its documentation and needs the matching included CRF-950Z instructions, filter limit and safety boundary. It is not a new-purchase recommendation because the exact body capacity and current offer are not established.

The main tradeoff

The code, included filter, 40-gallon/two-month limit and cool-tap safety instructions are documented, and the 2023 sheet distinguishes CRF-950Z from PPF900Z claims. But the exact vessel size, dimensions and present offer are unknown; do not infer them from a nearby PUR code or the shared family diagram.

Your needs, this model

Does it fit your priorities?

Do you need a verified cup count to plan servings or refrigerator space?

PUR names CR1110X1 in the family guide but publishes no cup capacity or outer dimensions there. The family drawing is not a scale reference; an exact-size requirement cannot be confirmed for this code.

Explore this need in the finder →
Is an exact lead result for the supplied CRF-950Z route essential?

The 2023 sheet lists CRF-950Z lead results at pH 6.5 and 8.5; its separately sold PPF900Z column is not certified for lead. The exact included filter route matters. This model remains a reference, not a purchase match.

Do you need a pitcher with a tested microbial-reduction result or use for unsafe/unknown water?

No. The Quick Start Guide says PUR pitchers do not filter microbes and must not be used with microbiologically unsafe or unknown-quality water without adequate disinfection.

Explore this need in the finder →
Does a 40-gallon maximum and two-month replacement limit fit your routine?

The family guide lists 40 gallons/151 liters or up to two months; replace at whichever limit arrives first. A higher gallon minimum is not supported by this model guide.

CR1110X1 is an exact model code in PUR’s U.S. pitcher documentation, but the sources do not provide the body size that many buyers need before choosing a vessel. This page is therefore an owner and model-identification reference, not a purchase recommendation. If you are checking a pitcher already marked CR1110X1, the useful starting point is the filter code and the short operating guide—not a guess based on a similar PUR pitcher.

What the CR1110X1 record actually establishes

PUR’s 2023 Quick Start Guide names PPT710X1, PPT110X1 and CR1110X1 as separate model codes. It says the PUR PLUS CRF-950Z filter is included with the system and lists PPF900Z as a separately sold filter certified with the system. The guide shows a pitcher reservoir and filter in a shared family illustration, but it does not identify the CR1110X1’s exact jug body, finish or cup capacity.

That limitation matters in practical use. The figure is not a dimension drawing and cannot answer whether a pitcher will fit a refrigerator door, how many cups it holds, or how much water is filtered in one fill. The code is useful for identifying an existing unit; it is not enough to size a new purchase. The current PUR PPF951K sheet lists CR1111X1, not CR1110X1. That newer neighboring code is not a proven replacement or crosswalk for the CR1110X1, so do not substitute its body facts or claim set.

Filter route and claims need to stay together

The 2023 PUR Pitcher Performance Data Sheet explicitly includes CR1110X1 in its pitcher model list and separates the CRF-950Z PLUS and PPF900Z filter columns. In that sheet, CRF-950Z has listed lead reductions of 99.7% at pH 6.5 and 99.4% at pH 8.5 under the stated test conditions; the PPF900Z lead column is marked “Not Certified.” These are specific performance-sheet entries, not a promise that every household’s water will show the same result. The supplied CRF-950Z route is the relevant one unless the replacement filter in your own box is identified separately.

Do not generalize from a familiar filter name. PUR’s current performance sheet names CR1111X1 and includes other current pitcher codes, but does not list CR1110X1. The old 2023 model list and the later list therefore describe different evidence snapshots. They establish the older code and its documented filter arrangement, not whether it remains sold or how a newer model relates to it.

Plan replacements by both limits

The CR1110X1 family guide rates the supplied filter for 40 gallons (151 liters) or up to two months. Treat these as separate ceilings: whichever comes first is the replacement point, and the stated maximum is not a guarantee that a cartridge lasts two months in every household. If you use the separately named PPF900Z instead, keep its own current package instructions and performance table with the replacement; the included-filter statement does not mean the two filter types have identical contaminant results.

The Quick Start Guide describes a clear first-use sequence: soak the filter for 15 minutes, rinse it for 10 seconds, then install it and twist to lock. Fill with cool tap water. The lid filter light flashes green with each pour and red when the filter needs replacement; after changing the filter, hold the reset button for ten seconds until the light blinks green. Remove the light module from the underside of the lid before washing. The guide gives a 34–82°F (2–28°C) water range. Follow the exact safety wording: the pitcher does not filter microbes and is not intended to purify water. Do not use microbiologically unsafe or unknown-quality water without adequate disinfection before or after the system.

What this reference cannot answer

The saved manufacturer records do not state this model’s cup capacity, outer dimensions, body material, finish, current offer or an exact-body product photograph. The family diagram in the image above is only a line-art explanation of the pour-through filter arrangement; it is not presented as the CR1110X1’s precise silhouette. Those unknowns should stay unknown rather than be filled from CR1111X1, a nearby PPT model, an old retail title or an image of a different pitcher.

This guide is most useful when the label on an existing unit says CR1110X1 and you need to keep its filter and operating limits straight. If you are shopping for a pitcher with a published size or verified current product page, compare PUR models with their own exact codes—such as the PPT711 or CR-1100C—without treating either as an equivalent replacement body. This reference-only status means there is no current buying match here; it does not assert that PUR formally discontinued CR1110X1.

What the filter is documented to reduceThe 2023 PUR sheet lists CR1110X1 among pitcher system model numbers and shows separate CRF-950Z and PPF900Z claim columns. For the included CRF-950Z, its table lists 99.7% lead reduction at pH 6.5 and 99.4% at pH 8.5 under stated test conditions; the PPF900Z lead entries are marked Not Certified. These limited source-sheet results are not a universal household guarantee. PUR says the pitcher does not filter microbes.
