Your needs, this model
Does it fit your priorities?
Is the listed cup capacity a fit?
PUR lists this exact pitcher at 11 cups. The number describes the whole pitcher and not the amount of filtered water immediately ready after one reservoir fill.

This package includes PUR standard PPF900Z; it is not the PUR PLUS lead-reduction configuration.
Explore this need in the finder →Is the standard PPF900Z route, rather than PUR PLUS, the filter choice you want?
The PPF900Z standard filter sheet does not list the PLUS lead-reduction claim. Choose this package only if its documented standard-filter reductions match the water question you are trying to address.

PUR’s 11 Cup Pitcher is the basic model identified on the current product page as CR-1100C. It is a white standard-filter configuration with one PUR cartridge and an electronic filter-change indicator. PUR lists the body at about 9.9 inches wide, 10.3 inches high and 6.6 inches long. Those dimensions are broad enough to matter on a refrigerator shelf, but they are less deep than many tall, narrow shapes. Measure the opening and the lid clearance before buying; the listed cup count says nothing about whether the body clears a shelf lip or can be lifted in place.
Eleven cups is useful when several people pour from the same pitcher or when you want more ready capacity between fills than a seven- or eight-cup model provides. It does not mean that a complete pitcher of filtered water appears after filling the reservoir once. The filtering chamber occupies part of the total volume, and water moves through the cartridge over time. If simultaneous use is common, refill before the pitcher is empty or consider whether a larger dispenser is better for your counter; that is a separate, spigot-based category.
The standard cartridge’s documented scope
The included filter is PUR’s standard pitcher cartridge, listed in the current performance material as PPF900Z. Its sheet describes reduction claims for specified chemical and aesthetic substances under stated conditions. It is not the PUR PLUS lead-reducing cartridge, PPF951K. A shopper who needs the PLUS claim should compare the 11 Cup PLUS PPT111 instead of assuming the filter can be changed from standard to PLUS without checking the current product and compatibility information. This review treats the included filter package, not every possible replacement combination for the pitcher body.
PUR gives the standard filter a maximum service capacity of 40 gallons and an approximate two-month replacement estimate. The cartridge may reach its gallon limit before the calendar reminder, or conditions may warrant a replacement earlier. Follow the limit and filter instructions, not just the convenience of a light. The light is a prompt, not a reading of contamination or water quality. The published sheet also warns that pitcher filters do not filter microbes. Do not use the system as a substitute for disinfection when the source water is microbiologically unsafe or unknown, and check local drinking-water information for a specific concern.
Routine, setup and cleanup
PUR’s basic quick-start guide covers the CR1100 family and calls for preparing the standard filter before installation, using cold tap water and seating the cartridge fully. The page identifies the current body as CR-1100C; the guide’s printed identifier is formatted CR1100 without the hyphen and suffix, so retain the shipped guide and label when replacing parts. Use the instructions that came with the exact model rather than assuming a Plus-filter soak or light-reset sequence belongs to this standard configuration. The filter’s stated cold-water range is about 34–82°F.
Remove the filter before washing the body. PUR says pitcher components are dishwasher-safe subject to the guide’s directions, but the electronic reminder is a separate part and should be removed or kept out of the dishwasher as instructed. If you hand-wash, mild dish soap and thorough rinsing are practical; return the indicator and cartridge only after the parts are dry. The light helps keep a two-month routine visible. It does not know how quickly the household has processed 40 gallons, so a date or gallon note remains useful when usage varies.
Where it fits among PUR’s 11-cup choices
Choose eleven cups and the PUR standard route in the finder to return this basic package. A lead-reduction requirement or the PUR PLUS route should exclude it, as should a filter-capacity minimum above 40 gallons. A maximum height below 10.3 inches rejects the model; width and length should be measured separately because the advanced shelf-height field does not assess all three dimensions. Capacity choices distinguish it from PUR’s seven-, eight-, ten- and twelve-cup configurations.
The most important alternative is the PUR PLUS 11 Cup Pitcher: it shares the broad purpose and listed volume but pairs with the different PPF951K filter and its lead claim. The PLUS body is also a little wider in PUR’s listed dimensions, so the two are not identical for a tight shelf. The 10-cup PPT001 is more compact in listed volume and is the standard route with a light. Beautiful by PUR offers a 12-cup standard option and a different visual treatment. If the standard filter is the right fit, compare those dimensions and fill routines before choosing the biggest number. If a longer filter life is essential, consider the exact Elite cartridge systems from Brita as a separate comparison rather than assuming the larger PUR reservoir changes cartridge capacity.

| Use and care | Use only cold tap water, approximately 34–82°F (1–28°C). The supplied filter is rated for up to 40 gallons or about two months; replace at the first limit reached and earlier if conditions warrant. Not for microbiologically unsafe or unknown-quality water without disinfection. |
