Your needs, this model
Does it fit your priorities?
Would the 10-cup listed pitcher capacity fit the amount you typically keep ready?
ZP-010 is listed at 10 cups for the whole vessel; that is not the amount of fully filtered water available after each reservoir fill.
Explore this need in the finder →Would you prefer the ZeroWater five-stage filter route with a separate handheld TDS meter?
This package includes the ZeroWater five-stage cartridge and a separate meter; other pitcher families use different cartridges and replacement routines.
Explore this need in the finder →Does a 15-gallon rated service life meet your stated minimum?
The current family performance sheet gives a 15-gallon rated service life for the filter certification; actual use varies and the 006 reading is the manufacturer's replacement cue.
Explore this need in the finder →Can you accept that the product page does not confirm dispensing while the reservoir filters?
The ZP-010 page confirms a dispensing spigot but does not document the 12-cup model's Ready-Pour-while-filtering behavior. Do not assume it meets that requirement.
Explore this need in the finder →The 10-cup ZP-010 package
ZeroWater's current 10 Cup Pitcher is model ZP-010, sold in the manufacturer's product feed under retail SKU FZ10PITCHERRETAIL. It is a pitcher-format unit with a push-to-dispense spigot, a holder and a separate TDS meter, and one five-stage cartridge. That combination is the useful identity to keep together: the cup count belongs to the whole vessel, while its water-treatment claims belong to the supplied ZeroWater cartridge.
The 10-cup listing makes sense for a smaller household that wants a larger batch than a compact 6- or 7-cup pitcher but does not specifically need the newer 12-cup Ready-Pour feature. The manufacturer describes the spigot as a way to fill cups, bottles or jugs. This is not the same object as ZeroWater's much larger Ready-Read counter dispensers; the ZP-010 remains a listed pitcher model. Expect gravity filtration to take time. A 10-cup label is not ten cups of finished water waiting after every reservoir fill, because the upper reservoir and lower filtered chamber share the vessel.
What its five-stage cartridge does—and what the meter cannot tell you
The included 5-stage filter combines carbon and ion-exchange media. ZeroWater's 2026 performance sheet lists IAPMO certification against NSF/ANSI 42 for chlorine taste and odor and NSF/ANSI 53 for specified lead, hexavalent-chromium, mercury and PFOA/PFOS reductions. The sheet's percentages and limits are tied to its test conditions; they are not a result measured from your tap. The device is intended for potable water, not for making microbiologically unsafe or unknown-quality water safe without disinfection.
A TDS reading is not a lead test, a PFAS test or a general safety verdict. The meter measures total dissolved solids, which include many charged substances but do not include every contaminant. Its practical job here is to show when the cartridge has reached ZeroWater's replacement trigger: change the filter when filtered water reads 006. The current performance sheet gives a 15-gallon rated service life for its certification, while the care materials explain that actual filter duration varies with incoming water and use. Treat neither a calendar estimate nor a TDS display as permission to exceed the stated instructions.
Plan for setup, not just the first pour
The current quick guide lists ZP-010 by name. It calls for washing the device with mild soap, rinsing the outside of the cartridge with warm water for about 30 seconds, and twisting the filter into place until the blue seal is properly seated. Fill with cool or ambient water and discard the first two reservoir fills before serving. The steps matter: a cross-threaded cartridge or an incomplete seal can let water bypass the intended path. Hand-wash the vessel; ZeroWater does not recommend putting its device in the dishwasher.
The included meter is separate rather than an integrated Ready-Read screen. That makes it portable for checking tap water or a finished glass, but it is another small item to keep track of, and the product package lists no calendar light. If you prefer a simple change reminder, mark the date of installation and also check the filtered-water reading as directed. The 006 reading is a replacement cue, not a way to identify which contaminant is present.
Space, capacity and the limits of the published dimensions
The product page lists the dimensions as 11 by 5.93 by 11.63 inches and the empty weight as 4 pounds. It does not label which number is height, width or depth. That is an important shopping limitation: the finder will not treat an unlabeled measurement string as proof that the ZP-010 clears a specific shelf-height limit. Measure the actual unit or ask the seller for an axis-labeled drawing before buying around a strict opening. The product page gives the same three-number dimension string for the 12-cup model, so the larger cup label alone does not establish a larger outside footprint.
The site finder changes its shortlist when you choose the 10-cup capacity, ZeroWater's five-stage route, a TDS meter requirement or a minimum filter rating. A 15-gallon minimum can include this cartridge; a 40-gallon minimum excludes it. A strict height cap is not confirmed by the unlabelled dimension string. If you require water dispensing while the reservoir is still filtering, only the 12-cup model's current page explicitly documents that Ready-Pour behavior; the ZP-010 page does not establish it.
Who should compare another pitcher?
Choose the ZP-010 if its 10-cup listing, included handheld meter and specified five-stage claims fit your needs, and you are comfortable tracking a filter by its reading rather than a long calendar interval. Compare it with the 12 Cup Ready-Pour ZD-012-RP if you want the explicitly documented ability to dispense while water continues filtering. That model has the same ordered dimension string but a 4.72-pound listed weight and a different package name, so do not assume it is a lighter or smaller fit.
If your priority is another cartridge schedule or a different documented reduction profile, compare the exact Brita and PUR pitcher/filter packages rather than buying by brand name alone. Brita Elite, Brita Original, PUR standard and PUR PLUS are distinct routes with their own capacities and claims. None turns this basic task into a substitute for water testing or local advice. Confirm the model number and replacement filter before ordering, and use the full sheet for the substance that actually concerns you.

| What the filter is documented to reduce | The 2026 ZeroWater family sheet lists IAPMO-certified reductions under NSF/ANSI 42 and 53: chlorine 99.4%; lead 98.9% at pH 6.5 and 98.8% at pH 8.5; hexavalent chromium 99.4% and 99.5%; mercury 96.6% and 94.2%; and PFOA/PFOS 99.8%. These are sheet-specific test results, not a test of a household supply. |
| Use and care | Use with potable water only; do not use microbiologically unsafe or unknown-quality water without disinfection before or after filtration. The guide says cool or ambient water; the family PDS lists 40–90°F operating temperature. Replace the five-stage filter when filtered water reads 006; the PDS service rating is 15 gallons and actual filter duration depends on source water and use. |
| Separate TDS meter included | Yes |
| Manufacturer dimensions as listed | 11 x 5.93 x 11.63 in; manufacturer listing does not label the axes |
