A useful fit for

A 12-cup listed PUR standard-filter pitcher with a white translucent body and gold-tone handle detail for a larger household or table-ready presentation.

The main tradeoff

Its 12-cup figure is whole-vessel capacity rather than immediate filtered output, and the included standard filter is not the PLUS lead-reduction cartridge.

Your needs, this model

Does it fit your priorities?

Is the listed cup capacity a fit?

PUR lists this exact pitcher at 12 cups. The number describes the whole pitcher and not the amount of filtered water immediately ready after one reservoir fill.

This package includes PUR standard PPF900Z; it is not the PUR PLUS lead-reduction configuration.

Is the standard PPF900Z route, rather than PUR PLUS, the filter choice you want?

The PPF900Z standard filter sheet does not list the PLUS lead-reduction claim. Choose this package only if its documented standard-filter reductions match the water question you are trying to address.

A higher-capacity PUR pitcher with a decorative finish

Beautiful by PUR 12 Cup Pitcher is the PPT120W configuration, shown in white with a gold-tone handle detail and supplied standard PUR filter. It is listed at 12 cups and approximately 10.2 inches wide, 10.6 inches high and 6.8 inches long. That is the largest listed capacity in the current PUR pitcher group reviewed here, while its dimensions are close to PUR’s 10-cup PPT001. The extra two listed cups do not come from a dramatically larger outer footprint, but the full system still needs a measured shelf and enough lid clearance.

This design makes sense for a shopper who wants a more table-ready or decorative pitcher rather than a plain white-and-blue utility body, while retaining PUR’s standard-filter routine. It may reduce the number of times a household refills compared with a seven- or eight-cup model. The 12-cup listing describes the entire vessel; it does not promise 12 cups of filtered water after a single reservoir fill. If several people draw water close together, the reservoir still has to drain through the cartridge and may require advance filling.

The included filter is standard, not PLUS

PUR’s product page names the standard PPF900Z filter for this package. The current performance sheet documents reductions for specified contaminants and taste-and-odor improvement under its stated conditions. It does not give this standard cartridge the PLUS lead-reduction claim. PUR PLUS uses the separate PPF951K filter and must be matched to an exact PLUS pitcher package. The refined appearance and larger cup number do not change the filter’s claim set.

The standard filter’s stated service is up to 40 gallons or about two months, whichever comes first under PUR’s directions. Household demand, sediment and other local conditions can shorten that interval, so the light should be treated as a prompt rather than a measurement of filter capacity. Follow the current replacement guidance and data sheet for the cartridge. PUR’s material says pitcher filters do not filter microbes; this should not be used to make microbiologically unsafe or unknown-quality water safe. Use safe cold tap water, around 34–82°F for the filter, and seek local testing or guidance if you have a specific contaminant concern.

Setup, care and the useful manual detail

The exact PPT120W quick-start guide says to prepare the PUR standard filter using its rinse-and-install procedure, place it in the reservoir and use cold tap water. It names PPF900Z as the included filter and PPF951K as a separately available PLUS route. Use that model-specific guide instead of the older PLUS instructions, which describe different filter preparation and list other pitcher numbers. Follow the data sheet and packaging for initial fills, then track the two-month or 40-gallon limit.

The guide gives the pitcher a reminder light, but the light cannot read a water report or know how many gallons have passed through it. Keep a written replacement date or a usage note if the pitcher is used heavily. Remove the filter and the electronic part before cleaning the body, following the guide’s dishwasher directions for each component. The white translucent pitcher lets you see water level, but the gold-tone handle finish is the visual differentiator, not a filtration feature. Dry and reassemble the body and lid carefully before inserting a replacement cartridge.

What the finder should do with the 12-cup option

Select twelve cups and the PUR standard route to find PPT120W. A lead-reduction requirement or a PUR PLUS filter selection should exclude it, as should a reusable-shell need or a minimum filter capacity above 40 gallons. The advanced height limit compares only its listed 10.6-inch height, so also check the 10.2-inch width and 6.8-inch length against your own shelf. If a lower capacity is essential, choose the desired listed number rather than assuming a larger pitcher can be a match for a smaller one.

The closest standard-filter comparison is the 10-cup PPT001, with a similar overall footprint but a smaller listed capacity and the same standard cartridge family. The 11-cup CR-1100C has a broad form and indicator; it may suit a different shelf shape. For an actual lead-reduction need, compare the PUR PLUS 7 or 11 Cup instead, and confirm the current PPF951K evidence and manual for the exact model. Brita Elite is another separate long-life filter path, with a different body and stated gallon capacity. Choose Beautiful by PUR when the 12-cup capacity and distinctive finish matter and the standard filter’s documented scope matches your water question.

What the filter is documented to reducePUR’s PPF900Z standard-filter sheet lists specified contaminant and taste/odor reductions under its stated test conditions; it does not list the PLUS lead-reduction claim. PUR says the pitcher does not filter microbes.
Use and careUse only cold tap water, approximately 34–82°F (1–28°C). The supplied filter is rated for up to 40 gallons or about two months; replace at the first limit reached and earlier if conditions warrant. Not for microbiologically unsafe or unknown-quality water without disinfection.
